Peter Yohanna is a young emerging professional exploring opportunities in the development sector. He is a Political Scientist focused on research and teaching about development challenges in the global south, with specific interests in development policies and practices; climate change and conflict; environmental politics, and sustainability. He is also passionate about democracy, human rights, gender, governance, and peace-building. He writes and researches African politics, governance, and policy trends.
Peter is skilled in implementing and monitoring development projects, research, data analysis, and fact-checking. He is currently serving as an Assistant Program Officer at the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD-West Africa). Additionally, he holds a certificate from The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change (The King Center), and is a Research Fellow on Humanitarian Leadership with a Professional Certificate in International Development from Dataville Research LLC.
Peter is a member of The Nigerian Institute of Entrepreneurship and an Ambassador for The Nigerian Prize for Leadership (NPL). He holds a B.Sc in Political Science from Federal University Lafia, Nigeria. In his leisure time, Peter enjoys reading, traveling, and watching movies.
