VERDICT: False

CLAIM: On January 15, 2020, fact-checkers at the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) spotted a message trending on WhatsApp claiming that the Federal Government has released a lockdown message.

In the video, the PTF National Coordinator, Dr. Sani Aliyu emphasized that the message trending on WhatsApp is fake. He called on the general public to ignore the message and go on with their regular activities and abide by the current guidelines set by the PTF.
